Hmmm.... $8000. in property taxes with crappy schools and no services vs. $2000 for nearly twice the house on twice the land and the affordability of private schools??
Great opening post, and I agree wholeheartedly. I've been in plenty of other states and I can't imagine being happier anywhere else. The only thing that sometimes bothers me about the state is the impatience on the road, stores, parking lots, etc. because of the congestion, but otherwise, I'm happy as can be here too.
Location: Some got six month some got one solid. But me and my buddies all got lifetime here

I was born & raised in Jersey, but you broke me.
SEE YA!
Good...go...goodbye. Jersey didn't need you anyway.
To the OP, I printed your post out to carry around with me. Probably the single best post I've ever seen on these forums.
Jenny On The Move: Thank you and God Bless you for that Post-came here to check Real Estate in South Jersey but your post caught my eye---By the way Lisa Edelstein from House and Peter Steinfeld Author One from WHHS and the other from Valley are from Wayne.
i loved that post... i have been beating myself up inside for leaving the NJ/NYC area since i have arrived here in the god forsaken state of florida. I need to come back, and this post just violently pulled me towards leaving a lot sooner than later! I miss my 4 seasons, the food, the proximity to like 5 major cities within 5 hours, just everything, even the stereotypes! The schools out there are 10 times better than even the A rated schools here in florida. I have a son and i originally thought that it would be better to raise him here in south florida, but i was dead wrong.
Great post
lol I am homesick
I remember going to Atlantic City the year they opened Resorts International um of course I was to young to gamble
Spent 2 weeks every summer while a kid in Ocean City.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane
I Love new Jersey!!!! I am from Wildwood Crest, and made the HUGE mistake of moving to Florida 15 Years ago... but that is changing in February.... i'm coming Home!
