Hi All,

I need information on whether there are any nice apartment complexes in Verona or Caldwell? I have a client moving into the area who I have been assigned as he originally wanted my neck of the woods, but now he changed his mind and says Caldwell, Verona and Montclair.
I'm good with Montclair, but don't know the other two towns.
Are there any nice complexes with pool preferably that is walking distance to shops and restaurants?
Thanks!

Also, how would you compare the downtowns of Verona and Caldwell to say, Montclair, Summit even Morristown. Are there shops and restaurants?

Thanks again!

There is a new complex in Verona with a pool called the Highlands. It's just off Bloomfield Ave (the main drag) so it is walkable to shops and restaurants. It's a luxury apt, so the rent is def. not cheap, or particularly reasonable for that matter. There are many other very nice complexes in the area, though none I am aware of with a pool.

If your client is willing to go slightly further west, to Montville there are many town home communities with pools that have good rental inventories.

Thanks Koala!

I tried the Highlands already and they don't have anything available currently. Budget isn't as much a problem as location, proximity to NYC train and cute down town. If you have the names of the other complexes without pools, could you share? What are your thoughts on the Claridge in Verona? Of course, being the weekend, I am unable to actually talk to anyone!!

Montville may be too far West as they want a shorter commute to the city.

Thanks again!!!

There's not a lot of apartments in Verona Nj,. Caldwell and West Caldwell might be your best bet. Montclair is such a "trendy" area that it is now getting over priced. If proximity to the city is priority (and School District is NOT), I would also look at Clifton (the 10456 zip code) and Nutley Nj, (Nutley has better schools). Cedar Grove has relatively easy access to the City as well... Good Luck

I was thinking Cedar Grove too. There are a ton of apartments on Pompton Ave. and Ridge Rd.

I know Verona has a few apartment buildings on Bloomfield Ave. right on the Montclair border, but I don't know the names of them. A friend of mine used to live there and it is easily walkable to the shops and restaurants in Montclair.

I don't know many complexes there, but Caldwell and Verona have nice downtowns with shopping and restaurants and stuff.
