80ish has been the average on most highways. The state would lift speed limits to 75mph but there is an issue with getting funds from the federal government for road work if the limits are to high on energy conservation. The only time people get pulled over is if they are doing 90mph+, however some towns like Bedminister have speed traps all over the place and just use it as revenue source.

It is true!

Can be doing maybe 55 or 60 on the GSP and persons will zoom past often flipping you off as they go. *LOL*

Under free flowing conditions, I usually do around 60 on Divided highways and 70-75 on Interstates (and the Pkwy).

What do you guys think is a "safe from getting pulled over speed" on the GSP where it's 55 and the NJTP where it's 55 north of exit 12?

And the smart *** answer of 55 need not to reply. thanks

I'd say 65 is safe, 69 still probably slide by, 70-74 depends on mood of trooper and traffic around you, 75+ you're lucky if the lights don't come on.

Absolutely!
I particularly recommend it on Route 18 during commuting time.
