Hi all - I live in Essex County and noticed that my "Local Municipal Tax" has increased 3.2% on my most recent tax bill. I thought Christie capped these at 2%. Am I missing something?? I also have line items for "Municipal Library Tax" and "Municipal Open Space Tax" but these have not increased.

There are many exemptions to the cap law.
