Looking for apartments in Verona, the Caldwells, Little Falls or MOntclair...less than $1500 monthly..
studio or 1 bedroom ok..any comments or suggestions on clean complexes and not too noisy....any help would be greatly appreciated!
I have a list of about 30 and have been checking online for reviews...some have them..,most don't and I get a little leary if the pictures shown are of the same room or not of every room. I think they are trying to hide something.
Those are all decent towns and 1BR in almost any of the standard Garden Apartment complexes will be within your budget. The newer / luxury apartments will be higher. Verona and Caldwells will probably be a little quieter. Don't rent any of those apartments if they don't have a recently updated kitchen / bathroom... enough of the managed properties are doing the upgrades that you should be able to find one.
It's easier for people to comment on specific choices you have than to throw out suggestions. You're right about the photos... you really just have to pick some and go visit.
no pets...I tried googling to see reviews and saw some that said stay away from Carlyle towers and Westover house in Caldwell....said Linwood Village in Verona was dirty..Park Lane in Little Falls dirty...Brownstone & Main Union in Little Falls..not good review...Parkway East in Caldwell...not good reviews..
so do you all know anything about: any of the above...Rumsey Park Apts, Parkside Commons, Chelsea Court, Espy Condos in Verona???
OR Atrium apts in West Caldwell (I saw very good reviews for this)
what about St Charles Apts in West Caldwell
OR Midland apts in Montclair or Montclair Mews....Whitehall apts?
Little Falls...Coninial Hills gardens, hilltop manor
OR Verona Park gardens or verona gardens in Verona?
we live 2 hours away and cannot possibly get to see them all
so I'd really like to narrow it down to less than 10!
Remember, most people who post reviews post negative reviews. Not too many remember to post positive ones so take them with a grain of salt. You really need to just schedule a few times every two weeks and make the drive out and visit a bunch of them to see for yourself. Whats "dirty" to someone may be fine for you. Whats "great" to someone may not work for you. If the multiple reviews speak of a rat infestation or something like that, well thats different. But because someone called it dirty wouldnt stop me from taking a look.
In that price range you wont be in luxury buildings. So you are really just going to need to see them for yourself. Good luck.
I do get a little leary when they show you the same room several times
and not every room in the unit...
