Hi,
My Honda car is having some transmission problem. I'm looking for a shop within hudson/bergen county that can have a look at my transmission or recondition the transmission and engine.

Any recommendations?

The main thing to remember is to NOT go to AAMCO, Lee Myles, Cottman, or any other chain-run operation. These chains invariably tell customers that they need a new/rebuilt transmission, even if a simpler, cheaper repair is all that is necessary.

Additionally, their prices tend to be high and their workmanship is not good. And, their "nationwide warranties" almost always have exclusions/loopholes through which you could drive a Mack truck.
Ergo--not worth the paper they are printed on.

In Bayonne, Borker Transmission always had a good reputation when I lived in that town. Whether they still have that good reputation, I can't say for sure, but I would be more inclined to go there than to any of the aforementioned chains.

Bayonne Transmission Repair and service, Hudson County

Do a google search for all tranmission places in that area then look at the reviews for each one on Yelp.
