My Mortgage consultant is saying that I can use my second job to apply for FHA loan for my first home even though I am working there for one year, i was reading the FHA requirements for second job qualification and it says 24 months, Is this really possible, she keeps pusing back and not telling me the truth about my loan. is there any one who can help me and give me any answer pls and if shes not telling the truth what should I do?

Considering what's been in the news the last few years about people in the mortgage business.........

I would take anything a mortgage person tells you with a grain of salt.

Shop around with different banks/lenders. I just bought a house using PNC mortgage about a year ago. They had, and may still have, this program, Community or something, where I got a conventional 30 year mortgage without having to pay the PMI payment since I didn't put down 20%.

There may be better programs out there for you!

I don't think it's an FHA requirement, but it's set by the lender.

Save some money and put 20% down.

As long as it is the same line of work or industry, it will be fine. I would steer clear of FHA unless it just really makes sense. The UFMIP and MIP are insane right now.
