I passed that accident on I-280 early afternoon,,,,looked very bad, then later read the news.
Also there was another fatal one about a mile away on 280 today too, then I just passed another accident on the GSP minutes ago, but not as bad as the others.

Everybody take it easy, slow down and be prepared and put the phone down, save your own self as well as others.

Just awful. The highways are really scary these days. People need to slow down and pay attention. Condolences to the families and friends of the deceased.

I had to take 280 East to get to a 10:30 doctor's appointment in Newark yesterday. I got the news alert about this accident a little while later. Sad.

Hadn't heard about all the others. Be careful, everyone.

I think you have to be nuts to drive a motorcycle on these roads. A bicyclist going 20 MPH is taking his/her chances. Nevermind the wahoos weaving in & out going 120.

The construction zone on Rte 80 accidents both east and west are up....they are constantly changing the traffic pattern, it's a sea of concrete barriers, a work zone and you still get wahoos speeding away.

Lately I've been staying on 46 and not getting on 80 until Denville way past that mess

...and many of those wahoos are tailgating at an incredibly close distance, thus adding to the overall hazard level.

A few days ago, on I-287, I passed a totally oblivious driver in a Mazda who was driving no more than 6 feet behind the rear of a box truck in the center lane. While I can't prove it, I wouldn't be surprised if the driver of the box truck was unable to see the Mazda in his side-view mirrors.

The right lane was devoid of traffic, and there was no reason whatsoever for that truck or that Mazda to be in the center lane, but as bad as the trucker driver's decision to drive in the center lane might have been, the jerk in the Mazda simply compounded the problem.

Yes, that as well. I've had people tailgate so close I can't see their headlights in my rear mirror, that is too dam close. I'll maintain 70-75 on I 80 because if you tried to stay at the posted limit of 65 they would run you over. You will never find me in the left lane, never.

It will be interesting to see who may have been at fault, if the news publishes it.

It is only my opinion but the biggest menace on our roads after distracted drivers are those dam dump trucks! They speed, they tail gate and weave in and out of lanes spewing rocks all over the road because most do not have the cover pulled.
