What ice rink in Northern NJ has highest skill level for men's hockey league? A recreational league of course. Please dont say something smart like Prudential Center.
In NYC it is Chelsea Piers hands down. Their division 1 and 2 are just deep. Second comes City Ice. On Long Island they dont play at one rink. Their leagues travel to different rinks to play. Men's League, I am referring too.

I would check with the Codey Arena in West Orange. The NJ Devils used it as their practice rink for many years before the prudential center was built, so if they don't have what you are looking for, they could probably point you in the right direction.

yeah i was thinking that or mennen in morristown.....maybe montclair? IDK.
I took Ice Skating in College (gym elective) and we went to Totowa(?) and the Devils were always there (this was mid-80's)..not sure when they moved or if even that rink is still there.
Ice vault in Wayne is an awesome facility, have no idea about the skill level of the players but there are many adult teams in the league and the area in general has pretty good athletes.
I know it's not North Jersey, but Baker Rink at Princeton and the Lawrenceville School rink always had very competitive men's leagues. By virtue of the area many of the players played at some of the better Northeastern Prep schools and colleges in their younger days. When I was last playing/working in that area there were a couple of ex AHL'ers playing in the A leagues. AFAIK Princeton Hockey Club, Kingston Hockey Club, etc...are still active down there.
Ice House (aka: Quads) in Hackensack. My brother's been playing there since the day they opened. I played there for a year (too busy now to keep playing).

this would be the closest to me. How skilled is the top two divisions? At Chelsea Piers which is not too far away, the top two is guys who played college, probably some minor league, and high level juniors.
Try to see if the ice house or anywhere else local has an open hockey night. Then get out there and start chatting up the guys playing. They will see your level and someone will probably know where you need to go and/or know of a team at your level that could use you.
