She should have known better and checked where allowed.

That said any jail time in this case does more harm then good, fine, community service

Agree with this, I read the article and I thought the funny thing was she is 27 YOA and was going to her sons birthday party in Atlantic City at 1 AM in the morning. Sounds legit to me 1AM in the morning going to a birthday party for her son in AC. I have a carry permit and follow the rules to the letter of the law. Sometimes the permit expires because of the backlog of applications and I don't carry until I get the renewal. I can't carry hollow points(I know that). Agree with Badfish 100%.

She will probably get off light.

Remember they guy who kicked in the door in Summit and beat the living sh*t out of that housewife in front of her kids?

He had 12 prior felonies and was out and about plying his trade so Ms. Allen shouldn't have too much to worry about.

Ok, I've got my answer. You people support her prosecution and unjust laws. Good for you...you deserve your oppressive gov't! Call me a troll if you like, but your state sucks and I will continue to avoid it as much as possible.

All states have "unjust" laws. In PA, where Ms. Allen is from, it is illegal to have more than 16 women live in a house together because it constitutes a brothel.

This law makes no sense either, but it is the law for now, so you educate yourself like a reasonable person would, and don't break it to the best of your ability...don't see the reason for your negativity.

My sense is that you came here looking for a fight, and were anticipating responses of "LOCK HER AWAY!!! GUNS ARE EVIL!!!" and when you ended up with posts like mine, JerseyMan's, and HalfFull's, which acknowledge that her prosecution is unfortunate, but not necessarily unjust, it took the wind out your sails. The world is easy to look at in black and white-seeing the grey is much harder.

Nah, wouldn't want to insult trolls. You've lumped the thoughts of "you people" into a nice little package that suits you even though those were not the thoughts expressed.

I do wish you success in avoiding our state.

(and look at the little coward spewing in his home forum after he didn't like the reasoned answers he received here: //www.city-data.com/forum/massa...l#post36530339 )

Don't worry, I'm done here. I've seen all I need to see here. All I ended up doing was confirming my suspicions.

And yes, I'm thankful I live in New England. Bye.
