In a truly bazaar interview Glenn Staub had with the Press of Atlantic City he says he will build a university next to the Revel casino "His plan is to create a community of the world's brightest people, who would work on global issues ...". Sounds like this guy is off his rocker to me and not the savior of Atlantic City. He doesn't strike me as an Real Estate investment guru either, he brought an arena in Miami for 28 million and ended up knocking it down a few years later, because he found he couldn't make any money from it, was the exact reason the former owners sold it for half of what it cost to build.

I think he sees a change to buy a 2 billion dollar property for a fraction of the cost, but no matter how cheap it is, if he can't get it to turn a profit, how valuable is it really?

As long as (additional) taxpayer money isn't used, I wish him luck!

Just sounds like a bizarre character who is looking for a little publicity. Every once in a while Trump decides he hasn't seen his name in the paper in a while and pulls some kind of publicity stunt.

His plan is to create a community of the world's brightest people, who would work on global issues like nuclear waste disposal, the report said.

Straub told the Press of Atlantic City that he doesn't want gambling to be the sole reason people come to Revel.

He also told the newspaper he has plans for a high-speed ferry and rail systems, along with an underground passageway for people to navigate through Atlantic City in the winter.
I mean, when I think of Atlantic City, naturally I think of the world's brightest people working on global issues:

With ideas like this, he must already have the worlds brightest people working on his plan to rule the world; probably a guise for his new HQ's I would presume

Is he related to Dr Evil

and the above image makes me laugh in the current sad reality

That all said I do hope good things for AC, truly

Tracking Revel dramas for days..I have to say glenn straub may the only guy have commitment to this facility. If I have $100 MM, I may be a competitor with Glenn . His idea sounds except making a University in the property..AC is not kind of college town and should never be...

If he can manage and reorganize Revel carefully, I believe that he can make money on this property. For Miami Arena, it looks like a variety of reasons make Glenn demolish that property.
