I know a lot of people will disagree with me, that's okay, but IMO way, way back when I was in school the football players were treated like kings. They were always given the special privileges and I saw this continued throughout college. Football, to me, is a very violent sport. Maybe not at the HS level but to watch the way 20 men pile on top of each other after the first one goes down makes no sense, along with the strength and bulk, the head injuries and sneaky body hits. They grow up on a pedestal and then they reach the pros and beat their children and wives. Many of them can't put a sentence together when they are being interviewed. In college the football players grades were overlooked or received special tutoring and magically their grades improved. It is sad that these young adults with a possible great future ahead of them wasted it on their own stupidity and feeling of being a god. AFA the parents, they were part of the problem their "wonder" boy thought he could do whatever he wanted. Sad.

But the few kids that I did look-up, they are huge 190 pound (plus) seniors. If the typical freshman is 14yrs old - there is no way they are as big as their assailants. So on top of everything else these huge guys were jumping these much smaller kids! I am hoping they do get tried as adults - but something is telling me that won't happen.

That's where I think you're wrong. These kids will be tried as adults as an example.

I really hope you are right - but I worry that next we'll be reading how each of these boys was a victim of abuse (whether it's true or NOT). And they will gain public sympathy and the next thing you know - juvenile court.

I agree.
I believe that most--if not all--of them will be tried as adults...as they should be.

Madeline Thillet (aka India Diamondz) was quoted as saying "“I was at the police station with him when they were questioning him,” she said. “They were talking about a butt being grabbed. That’s about it. No one was hurt. No one died. I don’t understand why they’re being punished. I think that the forfeited game was punishment enough.” Saturday morning her son turned himself in to Sayreville police. He is one of the seven charged in this crime.

a forfeited game is zero punishment. sports has no importance and missing a game is totally meaningless. if a butt was grabbed, then maybe that doesn't deserve any punishment. but missing a game is no punishment.

I heard this morning, that there is a chance this whole story has been made up....law enforcement specialists cannot understand why the coaches didn't hear or know about this?

However, I did also hear, that there were arrests made on some of the students?
