What is your list of top 10 or top 15 downtowns in Bergen County and why (diversity, restaurants, shopping etc)?

Edgewater (river road) and Fort Lee (lemoine ave) both have nice downtown areas. Very walkable. Nice restaurants.

If you like hispanic food then you should check out West New Yorks downtown area (bergen blvd).

Ridgewood, Englewood, Westwood, Rutherford-- all are nice, bustling downtowns, more of the breadth of businesses and a little more social scene.

Ramsey, Allendale, Hillsdale, Oradell, Wyckoff-- also nice but smaller, more hometown feel.

Like a prior poster, I would also say Edgewater and Ft Lee have nice offerings in their business districts, but they are closer to an urban feel, less suburban than the prior ones I listed. Depends on your criteria, if you'd rather have more access to parking vs public transit, etc.
