Ridgewood, Englewood, Westwood, Rutherford-- all are nice, bustling downtowns, more of the breadth of businesses and a little more social scene.
Ramsey, Allendale, Hillsdale, Oradell, Wyckoff-- also nice but smaller, more hometown feel.
Like a prior poster, I would also say Edgewater and Ft Lee have nice offerings in their business districts, but they are closer to an urban feel, less suburban than the prior ones I listed. Depends on your criteria, if you'd rather have more access to parking vs public transit, etc.
