What school districts are the best in Bergen county that do not have extremely high property taxes of $11,000 plus? The following are some of the towns I was considering, Saddle Brook, Fair Lawn, Maywood, Elmwood Park, Rochelle Park, East Rutherford, Carlstadt, Hasbrouck Heights, Paramus, Little Ferry, Midland Park, New Milford, Oradell, River Edge, Teaneck, Bergenfield. Diversity would also be nice, but not as important as the schools. Thanks

I replied to your other post in regards to Teaneck. Read what I wrote. That will clarify the tax portions. Google NJ property tax and select Bergen county and it will show you all the municipalities tax rates. As far as schools go check out schooldigger. That site is usually pretty accurate. I know Teaneck is one of your top choices. So here is my honest assessment. Teaneck is diverse. However the 2 largest groups each have about 30 percent each of the population and those 2 groups are black and Jewish. Now the remaining 40 percent is mainly Hispanic non Jewish whites and everyone else. The blacks and the other 40 percent get along well and seem pretty intergrated with everything from schools to sports. As far as the Jewish go they really dont intermingle with the non Jewish. Teaneck has affordable homes and average taxes for Bergen county. Teaneck has everything in it and the demographics as well. They have rich and poor and you can see that if you really travel the whole town.

Rutherford, but taxes are very high. Oradell and river edge are affluent.
