OMG! This morning I was late to work and on my long walk from the parking lot I smelled something very similar to that! I work in Princeton (Route 1) near Plainsboro!
If you smell it again, call and report it, bring it out and to the attention of others, perhaps your local authorities...I've smelled this for days...
I smelt it today in North Brunswick, smells like sulfur
1. there are people reporting sulfer smells not only in 5 counties....in Bucks County on Thurs. they closed down a school and had to run some kids to the hospital b/c of the smell...they got sick.
2. my cousin's neighbor frantically hailed her outside to her yard as she was afraid there was a gas leak...that is Cooperburg, PA, Bucks County
3. Plus 5 other counties reported on the news last night
I say again...something is wrong....sulfer smell over this vast area means, something is burning underground.
I'm pretty certain, we are not sitting on a volcanic area, but....something is happening here....b/c selling sulfur is a natural gas and must be leaching from the ground all over the place...why?
Sulfur Dioxide is a combustable pollutant given off by something burning...and can make people sick...it is the bio product which burns when volcanic erruptions occur...or perhaps earthquakes...but the core of the earth, is constantaintly burning...therefore, something is a miss, and the fella who posted about the birds, that to, could be a sign, as animals leave their areas when something like this happens.
I don't smell anything in Hudson or Paramus county. Was driving from Hoboken to Paramus today...
Whenever I drive through Elizabeth and Newark it does smell in the area 'cus of all the refineries - a cross between stinky fart and rotting garbage. Is that the smell you're talking about?
I have a friend that works for Conoco Phillips ( Bayway) Ill ask him about it.
