I had a prospective client email me last week wanting to meet in person but because of a family emergency I could not meet him. He said in his last email "Let's touch base next week." but I have not heard back. I am probably overthinking this, but did he mean that I should email him to check to see if he still wants to meet me and that I am available or should I wait for him to contact me first?

Thank you in advance!

Why wouldn't you contact a prospective client?

Of course he's waiting for you to contact him. You were the one with the family emergency. How would he know if it has passed?

And how is this Jersey-related?

Thanks for your advise!

Sorry- I am still unfamiliar with the forum categories or just basic rules of the forum so I just posted where I usually have posted my questions. I will find the right category next time!

In New jersey and everywhere else it is the sales person's job to follow up, not the client. Good Luck

The OP has been given excellent ADVICE, and I would advise him to follow that advice.
