Depends on if they need to power vent it to the exterior or if it's just a simple swap.
Just a simple swap. 30 gallon, short, natural gas.
I mean, what is there to do? Disconnect the gas (there is a shut-off valve), disconnect the water, take out the old one, put the new one in the same spot, connect gas, connect water.
Am I missing something?
I'd almost try it myself, but I'm in my sixties and not too strong anymore. LOL, I tried to shut off the water valve and couldn't turn it!

Don't forget to dump all the water out of the old one.

Where are the plumbers who will do it for that cost?
I have been looking and can't find them!
I guess this weather isn't helping anything..sigh. I've been without hot water since Saturday.
