I moved from bergen to essex, is it necessary to switch allstate agents? I like allstate but my agent has not being helpful last few times i contacted him. It is a long process such as move paperwork etc?

I moved from Bergen to Passaic and kept mine. I have Allstate as well and my agent is in Ridgewood( has always been very helpful and responsive)

Homeowner or tenant homeowner policies are not designed to add or delete residences; usually you have to start over with a separate new policy for each residence. For auto, you can usually do a simple endorsement changing your place of principal garaging and billing address, which may affect your premium up or down. Typically a Customer Service Representative can handle the auto change or any other routine service requests, but the agent should be involved in writing the new home policy. It may not be possible to change agents
