How would you rate Teaneck HS? Academics, elective variety, clubs, sports and general atmosphere?

From what I can tell it's not the best in the area, but it's not the worst. I'm not really sure how much you know about Teaneck in general. I lived a few blocks from Teaneck HS for 3 years. Rankings say it's fairly average for the state academically. I can tell you that the student population is very diverse. I actually have heard of kids hopping the bus from Washington Heights in Manhattan to go to Teaneck HS everyday. They use a relative's Teaneck address. I think this is probably true because I saw kids passing by our apartment from the bus stop where some city-bound buses stopped.
Even though the town has an extremely large jewish population, they all go to private school so Teaneck HS is made up of the rest of the towns population. Many come from the town's east side, which is considered a little sketchy because it borders Englewood. I never saw a huge police population, so I don't think it's particularly dangerous. But some other towns are considered better.
They had weekly football games that seemed to have a pretty typical atmosphere for area high schools.
In general, Teaneck has pretty high real-estate tax. Some residents claimed it was higher than surrounding towns.
