Hi guys I am looking to move in to Jersey City, Union city area, and I've been looking to rent an apartment.
I am 24 year old female, looking for one or 2 bedroom trying to stay under $1100. Is that unreasonable? I commute to NYC by times square so any help would be appreciated.

Anyone know any websites or anyone renting privately? I'm new to the whole renting process and craigslist seems to have limited/sketchy options.

I would love to have a parking spot, laundry on premises and be in a safe area where I can walk to my car/bus stop and not have to worry.

I am also open to other town suggestions that are close/next to JC and UC.

Thank you for all your help!!!

As my other half is known to say "And people in hell would love a glass of water" lol. Parking I think is though in JC. I don't know what market rates are otherwise.

I'm paying $1195 for a 2 bedroom 10 minutes walk from Journal Sq in The Heights. No laundry, street parking and no utilities included. I don't think there is any way you're going to get laundry for that price and there's no way you're going to get parking.
I used Dixon Leasing but I haven't seen anything near my price since I moved in.
You're going to have to park on the street and Jersey City loves giving tickets/booting cars. Street sweeping is 4 times a week so be prepared to move regularly. It can be hard to find a spot.
You could call them and see if they have anything in your price range.
I do love my neighborhood though so if you can find something it's worth the effort.

I'd pick Jersey City over Union City, but it will be more expensive; your budget is unreasonable.

The budget should be reasonable for a place of your own in Union City or JC heights, but the second bedroom and parking aren't going to happen, and the laundry is unlikely (but possible).
