I have beem summoned to attend court for supposedly holding path train doors in NJ. When the police arrived at the crime scene he found the suspect me stuck to the door by my back pack so basically I wasn't holding the door the door was holdig me. The police officer said I would be sent a ticket and now I found out I need to go to court. Being a first time offender I do not know anything about such crimes...I was hoping if anybody could tell me the likeable punishment applied in such cases and whether I should get a lawyer or not. By the way I am not a minor. Any info is appreciated...thank you

Sounds to me like it was a accident, explain it to the Judge, he may let you off...

Default Try Posting Your Question on This Site

Try going on this website New Jersey Law Network (sm) ~ Front Page I have found it recently and it has answered many of my legal questions. Once on site click on NJ Law Q & A Forums(located in red section on very top of Page). Once on, click on Main NJ Law Q&A and register. You can post your question(very similar to this site), and you should receive advice and suggestions, many by actual attorney's. Good Luck!
