HI

I plan to move to a quiet & safe neighborhood now that I am getting married. My budget is quite limited (max - $1200) and Carol apartments, HackenSack NJ seems to fit the bill.
I work in NYC so plan on taking the Essex street NJ transit train. Can someone please advice about the locality and whether its safe since i have heard mixed reviews about Essex street road .

Any feedback would be appreciated

Thanks

If you are on a limited budget, consider taking the bus to NYC instead of train? It will be a bit more inconvenient but can save you > $50 every month.

I lived on Essex st. at SDK Summit apt 3 years ago and never faced a problem with safety.
I agree with ^ take the direct bus to NYC, It's very convenient.

Look at summit manor, sdk summit, hackensack garden. Its 2 blocks from the hospital and the bus stop stop is barely 2 mins walk from there. Go for hackensack and look for more apts. I know there are plenty of them there.
