Just Curious as to what others are paying for the use of their community / party rooms in other high end complexes in Hudson County / Bergen County area. My community has a community room and I inquired about having a small get together and they requested a $500 fee, not a deposit. Most of my friends don't pay anywhere near that and they have access to much nicer facilities. I then looked at the budget and realized that they only showed one rental for the last 3 years. Seems like a wasted amenity as well as source of revenue. Can anyone share what their community charges for these community rooms?

i asked a few years ago for my daughter's birthday and they wanted $500 + $250 refundable deposit. i believe there was a time where the fee was much less and people actually used the clubhouse for stuff but you dont see many events there now. im guessing the reason for it is that the nutballs involved in community government just dont want people using the space for parties so they set a ridiculous price. from some of the communications i get from the community, you can tell that the nuttiest people tend to be the most involved in community governance (either being on the board or being the most vocal to the board and getting their way).
