I am noticing new construction(commercial mostly and some residential) along Route 1, Route 27 and Route 130 near North/South Brunswick. What's going on? They seem to be intend on removing anything that looked "green and open" before. Removes the one big reason people moved to this part of the state.

Why all this sudden building activity without the necessary infrastructure developments(roads are still the same number of lanes). Is it specific to Brunswick's or rest of the state is also seeing this so called "Economic boom"....

Also anybody know what they are building on the corner of Rt.27 and Finnegans.

Not sure what else is being built in the area except the new train station and apartments, shops, etc...in North Brunswick where the Target and Costco are now. Train station should be done in 2018 I think. I know that big warehouse fire took place in that general area a couple weeks ago too.

Not true. They went through some upgrade of infrastructure before they opened Costco. New lanes were added and all the jughangle turns were redesigned with additional lanes.

Not sure of an economic boom but the influx of Indian community in North & South Brunswicks have had an impact on the number of Indian stores. The building at Finnegans & 27 seems like a strip mall though I've heard rumors of it being a Wawa. Won't be surprised if at least 50% is leased by Indian shops. The strip mall that was developed on Finnegan two years ago is 100% filled by Indian shops. Is Rt 27 in North/South Brunswick going to be the Oak Tree Rd version 2, especially between Cozzens and Beekman.

Train station is far from being built by 2018.

Well that's the year they targeted for having the station finished. I haven't heard anything new about that date getting pushed back. Where are you getting your info?
