Can anyone tell me if Lyons Place floods often? I know it is in flood zone, but is it just from major storms or does it flood often within a rainy season?

I have a lot of undergraduate and graduate credits in Psychology, History, Sociology, Geography, Political Science, English, and Law, but I have none in Mindreading, so I am unable to help you.

Do you think that you might want to reveal the municipality in which Lyons Place is located, or should we just start guessing?

Based on OP's other posts I'm going to have to guess s/he is referring to the Lyons Pl in Westwood

I'm not qualified to speak about Westwood, even though my father lived there in the '30s.

So, perhaps somebody can comment on flood zones in Westwood...assuming that this is actually the municipality to which the OP was referring.

The Pascack Brook (behind Lyons Pl) is controlled by the water company and they operate the dam on Woodcliff Lake Resevoir. The dam exists for water supply, not flood control. Lyons Pl is very susceptible to flooding.
