Good. Of course, I live very close to Red Bank and love to go there. Always something going on. Also, the whole area has things to do. Lots of music for all tastes and ages. 15 minutes or less to a beach, and the beaches aren't just for summer! Food festivals, fairs, etc.
I moved here from Bergen County in the northern part of the state, and I like it here. I work in the city so the commute sucks, but I'm older and can see retirement up ahead. Besides, I just read or post on City-Data on my phone hehehe and the time goes by!

Haha thanks a lot for the info. I couldn't believe how nice it was
I lived and worked right near both towns for years. I would choose Red Bank over New Brunswick. Also look at Westfield Westfield, New Jersey
Very nice and you said you dont mind the commute but of the 3 towns, that one is less of a commute.
Red Bank is also close to the shore so if that's an interest, def go there.
Commercial and Sanford Sts. you say? That is right on the edge. The area right near the school is ok
but don't go further into town. Parking stinks all over town too. Don't know if parking is available but
it can be a concern. Lived near there many years ago when the two block strip Nichol to Commercial
was all college kids. Now....not so much...but I will point out that the west side of Red Bank is kinda
crummy too. Rutgers is a college town. You are 25 you say so that could be a good match for you.
And that is right near Douglass College...
Red Bank is a cooler town though..

I know you said you narrowed it down, but check South Amboy waterfront. South Amboy is an older town with plenty of fun bars, safe area, but the water front is new and absolutely gorgeous. They have pretty amazing townhouses and its right on the bay, great for kayaking or fishing right from the surf. There is also a train station right in town thats 44 mins into NYC. Its 35 mins from sandy hook beach and Scortino's has the best pizza around. They have also been talking about building a super mall right over the GSP bridge and a marina in town. If that all happens Amboy will explode. Just something to look into.
