Here's what u do, get a street map of Monmouth County. Put a pin in at the intersection of Front and Broad St in Red Bank. Then get a string and use it to measure out one mile. Spin it around the perimeter of the pin. Then do it again for two miles out from the pin.
Do whatever you can to stay within one mile of the pin, don't go outside the two mile mark. You can thank me later. Keep this in mind, it's going to be tough to get back and forth to the bars/restaurants in Red Bank from Hazlet, and as nice as your apt might be no chicks making the trek back there unless she's gross and desperate.

Haha thanks bro, the place I looked at today is within a mile but Its literally the only good option around red bank. I want some more options before I just make this huge move, I was considering the one in new brunswick but can you or any one reccomend another similar neighborhood like red bank? Central/north jersey and has to have a downtown. I checked montclair with no luck. I also checked the few mentioned above with no luck

Stick with Red Bank and look at all the apartment complexes along Spring St
Aha. That was my situation 5 years ago. Found one. As I said, I am about two miles from Red Bank.
Haha nice, just wish there were more options because in New Brunswick theres a nice one thats 2 floor with a garage. In red bank the best I found is 1 floor no garage in a community Area but I rather be in the better area..

Is a garage on your "must-have" list? If so, check out the Cambridge Manor complex in Middletown, just north of Red Bank off Route 35. They may be a little bit above your price range, though. They have garages and the layout is nice. Still, do a search. Prices have dropped since I bought my place (for $180,000) five years ago. I had looked at Village Green in Hazlet, but happened to have a conversation at work with someone who lived there and he said they were having financial difficulties and had gone through several management companies in a few years--something else to ask about when looking. (I looked at a lot of the condo complexes in the area before I bought mine, so that's why I'm familiar with them. I'm not a real estate person.)
I know someone who lives at Cambridge Manor, though, and she likes it. Although, the grass is always greener. I'd liked the garage and fireplace at Cambridge Manor, but she has no "yard" area that's really hers. I have no garage or fireplace, but I have a private fenced-in patio/garden area behind my unit and she wishes she had that.
