This will only make the landlords in JC wealthier. The tenants still cannot do this. But city will start charging the landlords like a hotel. The insurance companies will too. I wonder what the banks will do.

Anyways the price will equalize with the hotels of the area. Just wait and see.

The landlords can't do this either if their condo association prohibits short term rentals, which most probably do.

Well some guy who has "35" Airbnb units in Jersey City was on the news and happy as a basket of puppies. While the six percent hotel tax isn't thrilling the guy, fact his business model now is legit seems compensation enough.

Only if he is the landlord, and is not breaking any by-laws.
