Interested in buying a lakefront vacation home in NJ. Any recommendations? Prefer a lake where you can fish and swim.

Power boating only four options:
Greenwood Lake
Upper Greenwood Lake
Lake Hopatcong
Lake Mohawak

For just swimming and fishing there are more options. I'd just go to google maps and just zoom in over bodies of water and see if there are houses there on the lake and zillow that area to see.

West Milford in Passaic County is the land of Lakes in New Jersey.

A lot of Lake communities including Greenwood lake and Upper Greenwood lake.

Actually, there are other private lake communities that allow power boats.
