happened to me, someone rear ended my car, then police came, claiming we should work on it privately, if he do the accident report, it will stay on my record that my car has been through an accident, not sure how much truth is that.

Anyways, the women hit me was a teacher, luckily. I got paid.

And it is against the law not to report and accident.

If it is your insurance company dropping the ball...switch. I have SafeCo...wonderful and very fast.

There's really nothing to fight, my dad's insurance is the same as this girl's, and they're not helping at all with this. It's his insurance not mine, I have Geico and I am fine with it, we decided it isn't worth the stress to keep going so we dropped it sadly enough.
