You guys are a riot....the generic name IS pork roll. However, us Northern NJerseyans have always called it "Taylor Ham" which is a brand name, I believe and JELLY??? on a TCH sandwich??? NO WAY!!! Never heard of it....wouldn't even think of trying it.....
Besides "Pork Roll" tastes completely different than Taylor Ham..Pork roll tend to be chewy... fatty. Taylor Ham is nice and crispy : ))) And Jelly????? I had a neighbor growing up who use to eat salami and jelly sandwiches.... Yuck, Yuck, Yuck!
