I am 39 now, and i run into my HS class mates every time I am there. I don't go to NERO, so I can;t say who I would run into there. I am not trying to run into people I know, I would have to stop and say HI. I am not some-one who kept in touch with HS classmates over the years.
Kids hanging out near 7/11 less often these days then before.
My parents are the same, I am divorced myself no kids, have no reason to pay Livingston property taxes. If I had 2.5 children and a big dog, I might consider Livingston.
Some friends of mine just moved back to ShortHills (area where they grew up) If your close to my age, maybe we know each other
I'm 30 so it's unlikely that we crossed paths. But, Short Hills is a completely different in my eyes. I can't really comment on the kids or the town attitude, but, the town at the very least has a down town area with some nice restaurants.
Well there you have it. Maybe it is an honest mistake. If you go into a synagogue in a Jewish neighborhood, on a Jewish holiday, you are likely to see many, many blond heads in the crowd. So the "blond" part of his joke doesn't even occur to you, leaving only the "hot" part of the joke to be singled out.
I guess if you are a little further removed from the culture, you may not know any better, assuming that people with blond hair are Christian, when in fact they may very well be Jewish. My brother is blond, as was my mother, several cousins, and many friends. You can't tell a persons religion by the color of their hair.
I'm not doubting you, I am only speaking from my somewhat limited experience. I scanned my yearbook the other day and could only find a handful of blonde Jews in my grade. Actually, there were almost as many blonde Asians as blonde Jews (that narrows down the time period I attended high school).
