I keep hearing from people who live around Dover and the latin community there, that the Quaker Apartments at Randolph are very hard to get approved.
This is happening because the maintenance manager takes kickbacks for helping people find the apartments quickly.
I dont know if this is true. But I've had 3 different people tell me the same thing. "You have to speak to the maintenance guy, give him about $300 (which is a kickback!!) and he will put you to the top of the list".
I've heard about this going around for awhile and from people who live there and have gotten their apartments thru this racket.
Is this true??? I want more information, that is really not good.
It sounds like more of a bribe than a kickback. A kickback would be you overpaying for a service and they then kick back the extra to you, like if you had your company pay for gas at a gas station and the attendant charges them another twenty bucks and gives you fifteen.
What you're talking about is a simple bribe. The real question here is if the apartments are worth it.
Can anyone tell me the difference between key money and hiring a broker to run a credit check and introduce you to the landlord?
The waiting list on those apartments are like 1 year. seriously. so it's still not worth paying the guy $300 to bump you up on that waiting list.
I'd say there is no difference, but I've been to those apartments and you do have to fill out the application do credit check on your own, and then you have sit it out and wait.
While there are people there, mostly hispanics, colombians, that have paid the guy the $300 to get you the apartment.
Why is there such a long waiting list for that development?
