Sure, I'll keep track of what time I get out at 14th Street. This morning was 9:10. The real trick is knowing where to get on the train so you don't get stuck behind slow stair people.

And after all that the Raritan Valley line made me look like a fool by taking its sweet time in the cold this morning waiting on a freight train, we arrived in Newark at 8:50, I made it to 14th Street at 9:26.

still 36 minutes to 14th street is faster than I would expect(even though that would still get you to the office around 9:20- 9:25 most days). My train into Manhattan had a transformer explosion/power-surge next to it or on it while going through the tunnel. Bang and flash of light followed by the power shutting off was a super fun start to the day. Luckily it was quickly resolved. Keep me posted but I think I'll tell my cuz to give cranford another shot especially since they have about 5 daycare centers within blocks of the train station.
Over the Rainbow is okay and Prime Time is where we have some after care for one of ours, but we are big fans of Westfield Day Care, which is great but, obviously, in Westfield, which can be a pain.
I went downtown this morning for a meeting, taking the 8:48. PATH dropped me off at WTC around 9:35. The MTA took forever though, I think I waited 10 minutes on the R.
This is great stuff. Thanks. My cuz is going to drive from the town over and try it for the week. I'd really like to make this kind of info available somewhere in a more organized fashion. NJ transit and Google schedules are really not that accurate for getting to specific points in the city via public transportation and people tend to generalize and err on the side of a shorter commutes than they really are.
