Sounds like Newark is the new Chicago.

And guessing no outrage from BLM.

Yep murders/ car jacking and all the other crimes are part of daily life in Newark. Don't think the BLM group will be protesting this weekend.

As the Rightwing types swarm the misery, almost gleeful that more life has been taken.
Violence in impoverished black communities does not negate the overall message of unjust, disproportionate police response based on race. The stats prove that.

Have fun wallowing in your flimsy straw man though.

Yep it's the popo's fault that 8 people were murdered in 36 hours. Ever think it might be the killers fault.

You're the one continually making that correlation.

What does "inner-city" violence (for lack of a better term) and the myriad of nuanced socioeconomic factors associated have to do with the way in which the police interact with African Americans around this nation?

Black people make up only about 13% of the population of the US but are responsible for over half of violent crimes. The stats prove THIS. This is why they're "targeted" more by police, if you will. One could easily argue that socioeconomic factors of living in an inner city, impoverished and in broken families etc, helps fuel the violent crime rate among the black population, but it doesn't mean police will turn a blind eye.

BTW I don't see anyone happy that lives are being taken... I'm sick of city gang violence and poverty in the US. Sick of it.

"Systemic racism" is the reason blacks commit over 50% of crime despite being far less than 25% of the population? That's something you need to back up.

I see opportunity for minorities. Affirmative action. Scholarship opportunities just for being a minority.
