How is the commute to NYC from 8A Turnpike exit Park and Ride?

How long does it take to reach Port Authority?
How long does it take on the way back from Port Authority?
Are we going to get stuck in the traffic? if Yes, how often? how bad? how frustrating?

Do you think it is better to drive to Princeton Junction and take train?

On another thread (I linked to it in your thread about The Oaks at Cranbury), someone posted that it is a 1 hour bus ride from exit 8A to the PABT. I have no idea if that's true. Really, you need to post more info if you want accurate information.

What time in the morning going into PABT?
What time in the evening coming back?

Also, where are you working in NYC? If areas below 33rd St, you might be better off taking NJ Transit. If all the way down by WTC, you might even consider driving to the PATH station in Harrison (the PATH train ride from Harrison to WTC is under 20 minutes).

If you take NJ Transit, and you are talking about living at The Oaks at Cranbury (South Brunswick), why would you drive further south/west to Princeton Junction? You are creating a longer train ride (and more expensive train fare) for yourself. I think you'd be better off driving to Edison, Metuchen, or Metro Park (whichever has the best parking situation). I left out New Brunswick because I'm thinking the traffic & parking would not make it ideal.

Thanks for your info..

I am asking these questions because my work location is near 33rd street and I would like to know the commute time if I start between 7:00 am to 9:00 am and back 6:00pm to 8:00 pm.

I prefer 8a exit because its next door to my place.
