then there was bridgegate, an act of political revenge by the obama administration and nj dems to investigate the closure of 2 traffic lanes in a state where lane closures are a daily event. Party because the NJDOT is so inefficient and one could make a case, seeking political revenge against commuters for balking at raising the gas tax.
HOLD THE PRESSES! You mean the Obama administration was involved in creating the Bridgegate scandal? Quick, someone call up that reporter from The Record who did all the reporting on the GWB lane closures! Surely he will want to know this latest development in the story!
LMAO at all the stupid NJ natives who call anyone a troll that dares insult the "only place in the world worth living". Let me tell you how ridiculous you are and how ridiculous you look in the eyes of the rest of the country. Your behavior and "Jersey attitude" is an embarrassment. I can't tell you how many obnoxious Jersey people I met in Arizona who believe that they should "bring New Jersey to wherever they live" and how quickly they lose that attitude. I was in a van going up to the grand canyon, once, and these two women from NJ talked about NJ the entire time.
People from New Jersey (and NYC for that matter) have tunnel vision. They believe that NJ is the greatest place on earth.
I have every right to say that because I am a Jersey native, born and raised. When I left NJ, people were in utter shock as to why in the world would I ever even dream of leaving? "Arizona? What's in Arizona? Sand?" I've moved to California since and I am often met with "So, when are you moving back to Jersey?" and "Don't you miss Jersey?".
New Jersey has turned into a giant rat hole. Property taxes are obscenely high. You all pride yourselves in having the "greatest public schools in the country" and that's quickly changing. No, the world does not end when you cross the state line into PA. There's a whole wide world out there but some of you have never lived or visited outside of a 25 mile radius from where you were born.
The Jersey attitude is stupid. You all look like *******s in the eyes of the rest of the country. Because of your stupid attitude, you've earned the nickname "armpit of the US".
Never have I ever seen people talk more about where they're from than New Jerseyans and New Yorkers.
Visiting NJ is depressing. How can you live with the amount of trash thrown on the streets? Bergen County has gone downhill really fast.
You all can call me whatever you want... you can even accuse me of being a troll... that doesn't change the fact that the Jersey attitude is an embarrassment, your property taxes are outrageous, and more people are leaving than moving to NJ.
with love,
an ex-New Jerseyan
Actually, based on your postings, I suspect more than a few people were saying, "Don't let the door hit you", while waving goodbye to you. Seriously, your need to return to the NJ forum and post over and over, bashing New Jerseyans, speaks volumes about YOU.

Stop with your personal attacks, grow up. If you don't have numbers or meaningful contributions to post, don't post at all Feel like I'm speaking to a 5 year old

HAHA LORI'S personal attacks?? Have you read SageCats' posts?
I feel like I'm speaking to a five year old when responding to YOU. You are all over the place, as has already been pointed out. Still waiting to hear in which category DC is the second largest in on the East Coast...
Don't bother arguing with a New Jerseyan about how their state isn't #1. They'll tell you things like "NYC is the best city" or that their beaches are world class along with their casinos. Numbers speak volumes. No one is flocking to NJ the way they're flocking to CA, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, and other places with better climate and cheaper housing. They will deny that the population is declining. Her name is "Jersey Girl"... that and her rudeness (affectionately known as the "Jersey attitude") to anyone daring to say that NJ isn't paradise, say it all.
NJ does sucks big time. I hate it every day because of high taxes and hate it 1/2 of the year due to weather. But if you hate it because of high tax, then CA probably not a good choice. Their taxes are high if not higher than NJ. They do have good weather however.
I have been wanted to leave NJ but due to family reasons, I cannot leave yet. However when I am ready to move, I will move to Las Vegas. Lower tax, more outdoor activities, nicer climate. And yes, much better casinos and entertainments.
However, I have met a lot of great & friendly people while I am here
