Thinking about moving to NJ from FL. Want to stay close and have access to the NYC area so I can still have all the amenities and be close to my mom who lives in Brooklyn but also want to say in a rural area where I can have land be close to mountains, and where people are friendlier and everything isn't right on top of each other. Thinking of around the I-78 corridor outside of I-287 around Lebanon or Clinton. Drove through there and it seems beautiful any advice?

That's a good area as long as you have an idea what the $$ costs are for most anyplace, otherwise go for it.

I know how much stuff tends to go for in NYC, is this area affordable and if not what are some affordable areas with the criteria I mentioned?
