I don't believe so. It's quite rare to get that ticket -- were you pulled over for another reason?

Lots of car owners, particularly sports cars and other expensive ones, don't want to deface their cars with a front plate by drilling holes in the bumper, etc. There are ways around it.

Most states don't even require a front plate, and I never saw the real need for them.

don't run drugs or carry firearms with no front plate

creates a subjective situation, much like exceeding the speed limit. Some cops do and some cops don't. "Feeling lucky pilgrim?"

that license plate holder is another reason to be stopped. talk about discretionary justice!

All cars have a spot set aside for a front Plate.

Technically, my son's '99 Honda Prelude did not. No indent, no frame, nothing. You had to drive the screws into the front bumper itself.

At first I thought it was a cheap replacement bumper but it wasn't.

yes I have a car that does not have a good bracket installed for a front plate and I am not drilling holes in my bumper. I could find some kind of relocator but don't want to deal with someone installing it because I don't know how.

The ticket was a secondary, I got pulled over for something else
