Not necessarily accurate about the commuting. My exit when I was in North Jersey was 160, which is Paramus right where 4--to the GWB--and 80--also to the GWB but also to the Turnpike/tunnels is mobbed in the morning and evening. if the OP is further up at 163, which goes to 17, that's a parking lot at both ends of the day.
it's 67 miles from my mother's in North Jersey. The OP said 70 for him. you sound as if you're below the Oranges, which is a bottleneck pretty much every time of day.
Had a great day. My exit is 168, and yes, the Oranges were pretty congested. Other than that, not bad at all either trip.
I get on the pkwy at 123 going south in the AM and hit zero traffic. same going north in the pm. i do understand there's some congestion north of 123 but once you hit there it's smooth sailing.
I went to Long Branch. That was the one I was planning the whole time.
I know, I meant which specific Long Branch beach; e.g., West End, Madison Avenue, Pier Village, 7 Presidents, etc. As I mentioned in an earlier post, what's available near the various beaches can be very different. Was just curious.
All the actual LB beaches except for 7 Presidents, which is a County Park, fall under the City and the badges are interchangeable.

Sorry, Pier Village.
