Was speaking with a friend today who lives in Seaside park and there were a bunch young kids running around on major road not even looking where they were going running and looking at the phone.. what is this society coming too????
On Tuesday night in Morristown Green area there were at least few hundred people out playing the game at 10pm. Honestly it looked like the town was bustling more on a Tuesday night then a typical Saturday night.

Its a really interesting phenomena. I know some businesses which are near a pokestop are buying lures to increase foot traffic to their stores. Its cool how the same company who got us to stay inside to play is now making us go outside. This may also be a great way to revitalize traditional downtowns too.
I suspect most downtowns would be suitable. Basically you just need enough Pokestops close enough that you could make a circuit of them to get the objects to need (without paying). A gym to battle (any church will do). And a park and or water. I live in South Orange, and getting off the train you have all of this within a few blocks. I've noticed lure modules in place a few times I've checked.
Now, nothing is like Manhattan, where there are Pokestops all over. I have a long enough of a walk to/from Penn Station to my office that if I wanted to I can stock up on supplies or hatch eggs pretty easily.
I think it's nice people are getting out of the house again. If there's one thing I can say for Nintendo, they are intent on getting people off the couch.

please stop with "people and kids getting out of the house and playing".. If you cant think for yourself that getting out of the house and getting your kids outside to play WITH THEM is good for you then you have issues..Kids are not playing with each other they are playing some stupid mindless game. once again sheep following sheep..
