My husband and I are relocating from Princeton to Bergen County. We need a town close to the GWB that is very kid friendly. We will be renting for the first year or two. Thank you for your suggestions. $$$ is not a huge issue.

My cousin raised his family in Leonia, just minutes from the bridge. Great school and community.

Are your kids school age? Do you need a good school district? Or just activities for kids?

I don't know how close you want to be to the GW but we are in Ridgewood and it's VERY kids-friendly. There are so many things to do that you literally run out of time (or money ) to do them all. The town does lots of stuff. The local library is great, they have tons of classes. The local Y is really good. We also have a great pool in town, which is perfect in the summer. As it gets warmer, the parks get filled with strollers.

We also know few people from Tenafly (which is closer to GW) and they say that it's great for kids. The YJCC in Washington Township offers tons of classes for kids.

i've always heard great things all around about Ridgewood, thank you. Tenafly would be closer of course to the GWB. Whats the commute time from Ridgewood to Midtown?
