When your Credit Union Sends the money to Honda, Honda will Notify NJ DMV that the lien has been satisfied, and can be released. The CU will notify NJ DMV it now has a lien on the car, and the title will be updated, in DMV's computers, and you CU will hold the title "Paper" until the loan is payed off, then they will notify DMV that there lien has been satisfied, and a new title will then be issued (Normally mailed to you) that will show no liens on the car.
This whole process can take 4-6 weeks.
