Rutherford, Leonia, Fort Lee and Hasbrouck Heights. While not the best school districts Jersey has to offer, these are the solidly good ones that are closest to Manhattan. 30-45 minute commutes.

It's fairly difficult to find a bad public school in NJ, it's ranked second in the nation as a whole: https://wallethub.com/edu/states-wit...-schools/5335/

And most of the scores do very well on an international scale as well:
https://www.njea.org/about/who-we-are/good-news

You'll find pockets of "not as good," but even those individual schools would be top ranked in a lot of other states.

ahh I just skimmed your post, I wrongly assumed my list and your list was the same. Yes if you look at past blue ribbon schools, there are a lot more like Fort Lee, Jersey City (Mcnair is hard to get into), Bayonne, Weehawken, Tenafly
