Today is the last full day of the iconic Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City. Casino floor closes at 6:00AM in the morning tommorow (Columbus Day), with chips and voucher redemption available till 8:00AM.

--------------

With the Taj Casino being added to the growing list of defunct Casino's in Atlantic City (Along with tons of restaurants, bars & nightclubs, and large hotels) how much longer can Atlantic City hold on before a state take-over?

Where do you stand in the North Jersey Casino vote?

I am against north jersey casinos. The money shouldn't go to special interests and the locations of the casinos should be disclosed prior to a vote.

Fix those issues and my vote would likely change

Had jobs.... wanted more... drove the hotel/casino out of business.

Now no raise... No Taj...no jobs....

So guys.... how did that strike work out for ya.

I was thinking someone should build a casino with NO Smoking allowed.
Whenever you go to a casino if you don't smoke the non-stop smoking form those who do drifts right over to the "non-smoking" areas. That would make a worthwhile difference.

Its not a bad thing for workers to want more. Those working at the Taj Mahal knew the stakes and still chose to strike. They were not making a satisfactory living. If they were they would not have the choices they did

Casinos have undesirable effects to a community. Most of NJ never reaped the windfalls of the AC. The money goes into the pockets of the politicians supporters.

I'm sure thousands of Muslims are coming out to celebrate now...oh wait they were in Jersey City, building up a city that was left in ruins by many white groups.

The hypocrisy is astounding.

Top it off with Italian Americans like Guliani Arpaio Christie backing him. Hard working, conservative catholics, who support a philandrer, who disrespects women, while working easy government jobs

We live in a dystopia. NJ Is a MESSED up state and the fact it ranks so low on the corruption index for US states, is a wake up call to the problem that is government ANYWHERE in the US today

People who take risks are punished while government connected personalities can throw that risk onto taxpayers. Private plays, but public pays
