Hello Everyone!

I am 23 years old woman and recent college graduate. I'm currently living in Manhattan, and looking to move to jersey, at least for a year to save some money, before moving back to the city.

These are a few things that are important to me.
I would like a condominium or building complex.
I'm looking to pay a max of $2,000.
I'm not big in nightlife, but a town with a downtown, few bars and shops around would be nice.
Safety is a big concern since I will be on my own.

As of now I've been looking to Weehawken, Jersey City, West New York and recently found a nice building in Cliffside Park. Are these towns safe or should I be concern?

- I would be open to move a bit further into in Jersey, so recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

In Suburban NJ one needs a car, so JC and Hobboken might be good choices for you. But anyway, don't forget to look into transportation.

all those towns are safe. JC would be the easiest to along without a car.

Well this statement is nonsense, why is JC the easiest without a car? And how can you lump an entire city as safe? The downtown area has been modified for all the yuppies but the rest of it is hardly safe. Weehawken is safe ,West New York is safer than the majority of JC but a little less than Weehawken and Cliffside Park is exponentially safer than all of them.

You can look into Harrison or Newark area, tons of supply in the area around Grove or Journal Square in JC as well.

PATH train into city in less than 15mins.
