What's the deal, is it still possible to vote by ballot?

Also can my parents show up, last time they voted for a presidential election as Republicans,to show up as Dems on polling day?

Lastly if you do an early (in person)/mail in ballot (not in person/absentee), can you vote for down ballot/local elections in both cases?

Yes, you can still vote (assuming you have already registered). Election Day isn't till next Tuesday.

The general election (i.e. the November one) is open no matter your party affiliation. Same ballot for everyone, unlike the primary election (June).

If you've already voted absentee, you cannot vote in person. You only get one ballot, no matter how much you completed on it.

There is no early voting in NJ, except absentee.

Do absentee ballots have local/down ballot candidates?
Also I thought you could vote in person at the election office beforehand?
Thank you

Not true. Since I was going to be away last year, as a Union County resident I opted to vote early in Westfield rather than completing an absentee ballot. "New Jersey offers early voting, although they call it "in-person absentee voting." Early voting takes place at the County Clerk's office. Early voting starts as soon as ballots are available, and ends 3pm on the day before Election Day."

Also do they have to go to their old town's voter location if they didn't update their address?

Also, you don't actually have to be 'absent' to vote with an absentee ballot, so anyone can vote early by mail.

You have to vote where you are registered to vote. You need to update your voter registration when you move.
