-are some of you saying that having an educated population only benefits people with children? -are the unemployable going to cover you when you are ready to collect social security?
Seriously, there is a reason why the right to an education was something viewed to be so important by our founding fathers. By not ensuring that the next generation is well educated we are impeding societal progress and the last time I checked we were all members of society. FTR I don't have children either, but I get why it is important and beneficial to ME that the next generation be enabled to become contributing, taxpaying members of society.
I guess you did @@ You could do a google search yourself if you are that curious - Heck there is even a radical anti - public education website that quotes founding fathers as being in favor of accessible public education.

I know that many of us go off and posts go off to another direction.
But I think that many here are not getting the point of this post. This post is intended to show everyone about the NJ ASK test, and how much of a waste it is to our children.
OK, now go back to your regularly scheduled Galaxy.

Apvguy is right. There are no provisions in the Constitution specifically intended to provide government funded education.
