Brick is pretty large and only the homes on the water were flooded. There are plenty of homes that were not affected. Just stay away from the water.
Edison is bigger than Brick.
Of course Brick will be cheaper since it is further south. 10 years ago it was rated safest town in America. I don't know if this is still the case. Don't think the schools are as good as Edison if you need public education.
Oh yes, for moving, my apologies. I currently live in Union City and we're looking to move to a more suburban / family oriented town.
I have 2 children ages 12 and 8..... I would prefer to move south to get more for our money but being near the VA is important since my Husband goes regularly for services.
budget is in the 250-300k, although I don't mind renting to start off.
I liked how Brick looks, but I just want to make sure if we go that way (and obviously not live next to the water), would it be ok in regards of flooding.

Bricks is nice.Toms River a little south of it seems good also.This is in your range.
He currently goes to the one in East Orange, it's a great facility for him, no issues w/it at all
