This is a 'New Jersey' question if there ever was one.

I was arguing this point with somebody recently.

So, it says trucks over 10,000 pounds are not allowed past exit 105. That part is pretty cut and dry.

But if you have something under that, and it is a commercial vehicle. Allowed?

Say a Prius or F-150 or Minivan with Nora's Dry Cleaner on it. Or John's Landscaping.

I have my answer. Waiting...

I feel like there's someplace you could look online for rules regarding NJ parkways, but for the life of me I can't think of what it would be. And you wouldn't even have to wait for it.

Oh, here it is!

I don't understand why it would even occur that a regular "commercial" vehicle would not be allowed.

Ask a simple question, and you get the typical NJ attitude...

That is my answer, but somebody insisted to me that anything with a commercial plate or even painted sign on the side is not allowed.

I was just making sure.

And yes it was a serious question.

Did you tell that person that you were embarrassed for them?

To be honest, they almost convinced me they were right, because they said they had been pulled over in a regular commercial car.

I haven't seen a law that says you CAN take a passenger commercial car on the Parkway, so I couldn't say they were lying.
